No! Your Bye Bye Button™ has no subscriptions, extra fees, or in-app purchases. It includes enough notifications to cover typical use for the device's lifetime.

We use a third-party service to generate calls and texts, so we monitor usage to ensure fair access for all users. Excessive use beyond normal levels may result in a temporary service pause. Repeated overuse could lead to longer pauses or service denial.

Yes! When you setup your app, we help you create a new contact exclusively for your Bye Bye Button calls and texts.  This makes the calls look totally legit.

We have found that a few people haven't granted full permissions for location to the Bye Bye Button™ application.  For our application to work reliably, we register the Bye Bye Button's™ wireless activation messages with iOS and Android.  There is a special type of wireless message called a "beacon" that allows us to wake up our application while it is running in the background.  This special message type requires location permissions to work properly.  Our application doesn't care where you are, we don't care where you are, and the location of your phone NEVER EVER leaves your phone. WE PROMISE!!!

Yes!  Unlike other fake phone call apps that require the phone and fake call application to be open, our patent pending system generates REAL phone calls and REAL text messages while our application is running in the background and the phone is closed/locked.  You just need to make sure your notifications are enabled and your ringer is up, and your phone will ring just like a real call. It respects your phone's sound settings.

It works within typical wireless range — about 30-50 feet. Keep your phone nearby for best performance.  Also works to find your phone as a bonus!

Not at all. The call or text looks and sounds just like a real one (because it IS a real call or text!) — totally believable to anyone nearby. 

You don’t! The button runs on a small replaceable coin cell battery (CR2032) that lasts about a year with typical use.

We use a feature in iOS called iBeacons. For iBeacons to work in iOS (and even Android), the OS requires our application to have location permissions. You can still use the Bye Bye Button application without location permissions enabled, but it won't work reliably when the application is in the background or your phone is closed. In iOS, you do NOT need to enable the "Precise Location."

To create fake Reminder alerts, our application needs access to your reminders so we can insert your fake reminder.  No information from your reminders app ever leaves your phone!  WE PROMISE!!!
